Towards the construction of N=2 supersymmetric integrable hierarchies
We formulate a conjecture for the three different Lax operators that describe the bosonic sectors of the three possible N = 2 supersymmetric integrable hierarchies with N = 2 superWn second hamiltonian structure. We check this conjecture in the simplest cases, then we verify it in general in one of the three possible supersymmetric extensions. To this end we construct the N = 2 supersymmetric e...
متن کاملManifestly Supersymmetric Effective Lagrangians on BPS Solitons
A systematic method to obtain the effective Lagrangian on the BPS background in supersymmetric gauge theories is worked out, taking domain walls and vortices as concrete examples. The Lagrangian in terms of the superfields with four preserved supercharges is expanded in powers of the slow-movement parameter λ. The expansion gives the superfield form of the BPS equations at O(λ0), and all the fl...
متن کاملHIERARCHIES OF NONLINEAR INTEGRABLE q-DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS FROM SERIES OF LAX PAIRS
We present, for the first time, two hierarchies of nonlinear, integrable q-difference equations, one of which includes a q-difference form of each of the second and fifth Painlevé equations, qPII and qPV, the other includes qPIII. All the equations have multiple free parameters. A method to calculate a 2× 2 Lax pair for each equation in the hierarchy is also given.
متن کاملHierarchies in Inclusion Logic with Lax Semantics
We study the expressive power of fragments of inclusion logic under the so-called lax team semantics. The fragments are defined either by restricting the number of universal quantifiers or the arity of inclusion atoms in formulae. In case of universal quantifiers, the corresponding hierarchy collapses at the first level. Arity hierarchy is shown to be strict by relating the question to the stud...
متن کاملIntegrable boundary conditions and modified Lax equations
We consider integrable boundary conditions for both discrete and continuum classical integrable models. Local integrals of motion generated by the corresponding “transfer” matrices give rise to time evolution equations for the initial Lax operator. We systematically identify the modified Lax pairs for both discrete and continuum boundary integrable models, depending on the classical r-matrix an...
